In order to sell Fair Trees it is important that you can meet a number of standards. These standards help to ensure that all Fair Trees are supplied by legitimate, approved producers.

This gives you the piece of mind that you will not have to worry about adverse publicity in the media due to dishonest suppliers.

These are the requirements for the production and sale of Fair Trees:

- GAP certification

- You cooperate with local unions for fair working   conditions and wage agreements

- Commitment to produce Fair Trade trees in the   future

- Commitment to the Fair Trees producers’ code   of conduct

Labelling

All Fair Trade trees are sold with a specific Fair-Trees-approved label attached to them, ensuring the buyer’s recognition of the product.

In addition to this, the buyer is able to read a short text about working with Fair-Trade products. You are also able, of course, to display your own label on the tree, so that the tree displays two labels.

Each label costs 6(€0.85) kroner. The proceeds are distributed as follows:

- 5 kroner go towards the fund’s work in Georgia

- 20 øre for licensing of the Fair-Trade name

- 10 øre to Fair-Trade Denmark

- 35 øre towards production

- 35 øre towards marketing and administration
